The National Skill Development Corporation facilitates the development of vocational skills. NSDC was set up by Ministry of Finance in 2008 . As a part of Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) , NSDC aims to promote skill development. NSDC is headquartered in New Delhi and fosters the skills development ecosystem.
Vision
NSDC was set up as part of a national skill development mission to fulfil the growing need in India for skilled manpower across sectors and narrow the existing gap between the demand and supply of skills. "There is a compelling need to launch a world-class skill development programme in a mission mode that will address the challenge of imparting the skills required by a growing economy. Both the structure and the leadership of the mission must be such that the programme can be scaled up quickly to cover the whole country."

Application Process
- Fill out the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) Skill India Center application form.
- Signing Agreement
- After submitting the application form the Center will receive a mail and SMS simultaneously to the registered Email and Mobile number from NSDC SKILL INDIA with their Training Center ID and an APP to install in their phone.
- After installing the App the center need to upload the photographs of their institution.
- The training center will be send for final approval to NSDC Skill India.
- The Training Center will be approved after screening all the documents and Center images by NSDC Skill India.
